The pair were detained in May after being found guilty of hooliganism for attacking a trade ministry official with a chair and beating up a motorist at October 2018. Kokorin has been sentenced to 17 weeks in custody to 18 weeks and Mamaev. A courtroom in the Belgorod of Russia has ruled that they are eligible for early release after a successful appeal. The penalty for hooliganism is a maximum penalty of seven years in jail, however the players will be freed after this month, attorney Yuri Padalko told Russian news agency TASS. While Kokorin was a forward at Zenit St Petersburg 30, mamaev, performed for Krasnodar; Padalko verified they would both return to playing soccer. Kokorin has been capped by his country 48 occasions – he overlooked the 2018 World Cup through injury – while Mamaev has 15 limits.
