Newport vs Port Vale Sky Bet League 2 3:00pm Saturday 7th September Rodney Parade (Att: 3913) Jamille Matt came off the bench and believed to earn a 1-0 victory over Port Vale to Newport. The close-range goal of matt means the Exiles are currently 17 games unbeaten in League Two and two points behind leaders Exeter. Vale may count themselves lucky to have 11 guys after James Gibbons slipped into Robbie Willmott using a late night, full-blooded challenge heading in at half-time and endured some heavy first-half pressure. Corey Whitely and matt were introduced in the chair and combined to split the breakthrough out. Before crossing the ball across the box for Matt to score his first of the season after 77 minutes whitely jumped down the perfect wing, leaving Adam Crookes in his wake. Padraig Amond saw his penalty saved by Scott Brown, diving to his left although the Exiles striker was then dragged down in the box by Vale captain Leon Legge. Newport saw the game to continue their unbeaten start to this season out although legge hit the bar with a header in time. Read more: http://www.ebfittraining.com/2019/09/26/1991-nba-finals-2/
