(CNN) — There is a special bond between German soccer club Union Berlin and its lovers and the closeness of that relationship was honored in a poignant way over the weekend because the team made its Bundesliga debut. Ahead of Saturday’s match against RB Leipzig, Union assistants held up placards of deceased loved ones with an inscription”Edlich dabei” (Finally there).
