Benfica have defended his own player Bernardo Silva within his tweet likening a picture of a Benjamin Mendy into a cartoon used by company Conguitos. Silva has been charged with misconduct by the FA on the tweet, where he has until October 9 to respond. If found guilty, Because of the nature of this FA fee, Silva might confront a six-match ban. In their announcement, Benfica explained:Bernardo Silva is a young man who always been renowned for his simplicity, his character and his good upbringing. Wherever he goes, he is always overlooked and always makes sure that the managers and team-mates who cope with him are unanimous in complimenting his joyful and impulsive nature. In Benfica, were enormously proud of you! Turning a simple joke involving two team-mates and friends to some tweet with racist intent and launching a misconduct statement demonstrates and signals that a disorder of those times. City boss Pep Guardiola double defended Silva over the episode, calling him aexceptional person. But at Fridays news conference once the issue was increased, Guardiola issued a briefno remark anymore. It is thought Silva will ask a private hearing with the FA to echo the information.
